How To Prepare For Your KURE Visit

1. Yoga Mat

Everyone needs his or her own mat in any yoga class. The type of mat you use will depend on the type of class you are attending. Just make sure it’s long enough to lie on comfortably. Our studio has vinyl flooring, you’ll want a mat that prevents you from sliding around during our heated classes and keep you in one place. When shopping for a mat, consider the mat’s grip, thickness and durability. We sell BYoga mats at the Studio that are geared for the class types offered at our studio. We picked this brand because they are amazing mats, effective in practice and will make all the difference in your enjoyment and growth in your practice.

2. Large Towel and or Small Hand Towel

For Heated classes…If you have a rubber yoga mat, you’ll want a large towel to lie over your mat. The large towel will help catch your sweat from getting all over the studio floor and it will feel a whole lot more comfortable than sweating on top of a rubber mat. Small hand towel for all classes is a good idea. Sometime you just gotta wipe some sweat off of your head.

 

3. Water

Always bring a water bottle filled with water to a Yoga class. I recommend bringing at least a 32oz water bottle!! We have a reverse osmosis water system at the studio for refills.

 

4. Yoga Clothing

Yoga clothing or active wear is whatever you plan on wearing during class that is comfortable for you. For ladies, this generally means shorts, capris or leggings with a sports bra or tank top. For guys, this generally means any type of shorts with a liner. Shirts and tank tops are optional for guys in a heated class. No Shoes are worn and we highly recommend bare feet, save the socks for the end of class.

 

5. Extra Bag For Wet Clothes

By the end of a HOT yoga class, your yoga clothes will be soaked in sweat (yesss they are) and you have got to get them home to wash. Be sure to bring an extra bag to put your wet clothes in!

 

6. Change of Clean, Dry Clothes

If you are doing Hot yoga or not…you still might sweat!!! Bring a change of clean, dry clothes to change into after class. If you’re going to work after class, We have a shower! We want to make it super convenient to get ready for work at the studio.

 

7.  A Great Attitude

Always be prepared to have a great class, but don’t get discouraged if you feel your body or mind struggle through some of the postures. Remember this is a practice…not perfection!
