Benefits of Heated Classes

Our heating system is powered by Infrared heating panels in the ceiling. They can heat  the room up to 40 degrees celsius. The infrared heat penetrates the body, resulting in a deeper sweat.  This provides a method of detoxing and also encourages your body to become more limber and flexible.

Infrared heat has numerous therapeutic benefits. The room is not oppressively hot when you enter, the humidity is not there.  Infrared heat works by using your body’s own energy to heat the room as you move through your practice. The room only gets hot when you do. Infrared heat removes toxins that are stored in the body, improves flexibility & joint mobility, promotes healing, reduces muscle stiffness and pain, decreases soreness & inflammation, increases circulation, improves skin tone, promotes weight loss, enhances heart function, lowers blood pressure and reduces stress.. It can also help alleviate pain due to Fibromyalgia, Osteo-Arthritis, general back pain due to tightness and many sciatica issues. It is the safest form of heat for a hot yoga studio making it easy for those with asthma or high blood pressure to enjoy a hot or warm class.

Minimum age for hot yoga is 13 years old.

Children 8-12, may participate with adult accompaniment in our warm classes
